Days go by and a person is silent

days go by and a person is silent
and the home inside
knocking knocking
in his liver and belly
take anyone

and talk
who should say what
the common parakeet
lies unresponsive on its side
I won’t run far

I’ll just put flowers
there where our people’s guardians
released you — let me go
from the person of interest
and a stone of rage fell
and dwells there in my belly
